It’s that time again! Put on your Halloween costume and head to the Halloween Bash at StaxUP Storage - Homeland on Friday, October 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to get in on fun and safe Halloween activities for the whole family!
This event is open to the public and the teams from StaxUP Storage - Homeland, H&M Self Storage, and StaxUP Storage - Sun City are working together to make it truly “Spook”-tacular! Manny Ortega, Assistant Manager at StaxUP Storage - Homeland, was excited to tell us all about the different events and activities they have planned including a haunted house, jumper, cakewalk, costume contest, photo area, and plenty of ways to get candy and treats!
“So basically, it's a safe alternative to Halloween trick-or-treating. There will be open trunks and we're going to see if some of our tenants will let us open up their units to set up games or give out candy and prizes,” Manny said. “There will be tacos and drinks served as well!”
The idea to have such an event started with Alisha Carey, Senior Team Member and Manager at StaxUP Storage - Homeland. Over the years, Alisha built a strong rapport with her customers through day-to-day interactions and events like this one.
“The community knows who Alicia is. All the customers are like, where is Alicia?” Manny said. “She’s very good at knowing all of her customers and building strong relationships with them.”
As a mother of six, Manny noted that Alisha wanted to give back to the community in this way by offering families a way to celebrate the holiday safely.
“It's a way of saying thank you to our renters, and an alternate way to do trick-or-treating. There are all these crazy people that are out there putting things into the candy on Halloween, so this is a safe way for them to have fun and celebrate the holiday,” Manny said.
This is an all-ages event, and the costume contest starts at 6:30 p.m., so don’t come late! This evening is a great chance to get to know your community of renters and also enjoy some Halloween treats. If you are interested in volunteering for “trunk-or-treating”, please contact Manny for more details!
