Storage Units in Alpine, CA: Alpine Blvd or Tavern Rd? How to Choose

If you search for storage in Alpine, you’ll find two StaxUP locations, and they’re not the same. One is on Alpine Blvd and one is on Tavern Road. The right one depends on what you’re storing, how you’ll get to it and how often you’ll visit. Here’s a quick way to decide.

The Two Alpine Locations at a Glance

StaxUP Storage - Alpine Blvd is at 1849 Alpine Blvd. StaxUP Storage - Alpine Tavern is at 856 Tavern Rd. Both are in Alpine, 91901, and both have indoor and drive-up units, commercial storage and online rentals.

The differences are in the details: unit mix, entry system and parking.

Alpine Blvd: Smart Entry and Drive-Up Sizes

The Alpine Blvd facility uses NOKE smart entry and a gated entrance. Indoor units there come in sizes like 5' x 5', 5' x 8', 5' x 10' and 10' x 10', with stair access and some on the 1st floor.

Drive-up units run from 8' x 10' up to 10' x 20', including 9' x 10' and 10' x 14'. There are also outdoor parking spaces that are 16 feet long, which is a good fit for a car or a small trailer.

Alpine Tavern: A Wider Mix of Indoor Sizes

The Tavern Rd facility has a broader mix of indoor units, from 4' x 5' up to 10' x 15', with stair access and 1st floor options. It also has drive-up units, including 10' x 10', 10' x 13' and 10' x 20'.

Both locations list RV, car and boat storage on their feature lists. If you’re planning to park a larger vehicle, call the facility first to confirm which spaces are open.

Which Location Fits You

Choose Alpine Blvd if you want smart entry and drive-up units in a few mid sizes, or a 16-foot outdoor parking space.

Choose Alpine Tavern if you want a smaller indoor unit, from a closet-size 4' x 5' up to a 10' x 15', or you’re nearer Tavern Rd.

If you’re not sure, think about distance. A storage unit works best when it’s easy to reach, so start with whichever is closer to home or work.

Indoor or Drive-Up

Indoor units suit boxes, furniture and anything you can carry in, and they keep things out of the weather. Drive-up storage lets you pull up to the door and load straight from the truck, which is easier for heavy items and larger moves.

Storing for a Move, a Remodel or Extra Space

Alpine residents use storage for all the usual reasons: a move, a remodel, a home with limited garage space, or a seasonal swap. Tools and equipment for work are also common, and both locations offer commercial storage options.

Rentals are month to month, so you can start small and adjust.
