“Pros: Bluetooth operated gate/storage lock Variety of storage sizes. Hours of operation are much more reasonable than competitors.(Open late). Cons: App has a tendency to delay/crash and you have to reopen the app several times whether it's for the gate or storage lock. Units are outdoor which means elements can enter your storage unit (water, insects, spiders, spider webs, ect. No awning for shade which is a bummer in the hotter months. Homeless or sketchy customers who rent tend to linger/loiter around the premises. Some will goes as far as waiting for a person with access to open the gate then tag along behind not knowing if they are paying customers. Very creepy and suspicious. These characters do this typically when management isn't around/late night/weekends. Have smelled strong scents of urine specifically towards the units near the exit area. Rental prices fluctuate more often than competitors. Could drastically change even in a month. Be aware that the rental costs does not include insurance which is sometimes not communicated or easily visible on the websites/app promotions. You can add their particular insurance, though is off-putting as it makes a customer believe they are going to pay a reasonable rate, then get tacked on and insurance fee which makes it about 10/15 dollars more..”

“When I rented two units at StaxUp on Bradley in El Cajon over a year ago, all seemed fine. They had a full time manager on duty, if anything went wrong. I decided to vacate my rental units because of the huge price increase. I unfortunately found out, there was no longer an onsite employee and NO bathroom access! I was very uncomfortable, while filling my U-haul, with another renter near me, who seemed too interested in my business. Trying to get a live person to talk to, was near IMPOSSIBLE! NO ONE ANSWERS and you are told to leave your name and number. I was just about to call the police but was finally able to speak to an employee at the Hill St. location. Brandi drove out to the Bradley location and spoke to the other renters who had also brought their protective PIT BULL onto the premises. Very HIGH RENTS, NO ONSITE MANAGER for protection, NO BATHROOM FACILITIES ( LOCKED), and very scary people within yards from you, IS A NO FOR ME!!!.”
